This e-book about organic chemistry written by Yukarnis like Fessenden and Fessenden.
If the preview not work, you still can download the file by right click on the preview an choose download a copy.

This is e-book about "Organic Synthesis Strategy and Control" by Paul Wyatt-Stuart Warren. This e-book may useful for the 5th semester students in Chemistry Department of Udayana University.

Grab It Guys!!
On Friday, September 06, 2013 Chemistry department had done a lecturer by a student or may be a lecturer too there in UIBK. The lecture about Computational Chemistry the future way to explain all problems undissolved using conventional theory.
He gave some example of the application of computational chemistry, e.g. on physic chemistry (related to structure dimensional of molecule, mechanism of catalysis, mechanism of active surface area, etc) and the application on medicinal chemistry (related to construct drug/medicine molecule, design of the compatible drug to receptor).
All participant was very interesting about the 1,5 hour of the lecturer.
May you interest to computational chemistry? Here I've uploaded some journals that you can access for free.

Related to Medicinal Chemistry

There an information for who have access to sciencedirect.com by using account that registered on ristek.go.id. For about two weeks ago sciencedirect server has changed the method for login and access journals there. If on old version you just need to log in on pustaka.ristek.go.id after that done you can access all journal database like sciencedirect, proquest, and the other providers whom has signed contract with ristek.go.id.

But with new system from the sciencedirect server, to access that one you just need click on sciencedirect icon. Then you will direct to new tab on your browser, you will go to a proxy system that created by sciencedirect (may it for make more secure) and you will get message alert to input your username and password.

After that all done you can access all document on sciencedirect (except books and some version that release under year of 2000) and download them.

This method just for members of ristek.go.id. And for some student in Indonesia also can access sciencedirect for free if their university has signed contract, some of them are UGM, Unair, Undip, and other popular university.

Biopolymer Chitosan

Saturday, September 7, 2013
Do you know about biopolymer chitosan?
Before we touch chitosan, for the first I will give explanation about bioploymer.
Biopolymer consists of two words such as bio and polymer. The meaning of bio refer to organism/natural and the word of polymer have meaning the supramacromolecule that construct from a variant of monomer or combine of two or more monomer and it can have biggest weight of molecular. So, we can redefine biopolymer with the two words before, it have means naturally supramacromolecule (can be collect from organism/microorganism) that construct from a variant of monomer or combine of two or more monomer and it can have biggest weight of molecular.
Chitosan is the second most abundant natural polymer and has many useful applications in the area of biomedical engineering, including gene delivery, due to its cationic character at physiological conditions. Chitosan shows limited solubility at neutral pH, and forms polyelectrolyte complexes with polyanions, often resulting in precipitation. Chitosan  also has  been  used  as  a  support  for  enzyme  immobilization  (Klein  et  al.,  2012;  Kuo  et  al.,  2012;  Li,  Cai,  Zhong,  &  Du, 2012;  Muzzarelli,  1980;  Orrego  et  al.,  2010).  Chitosan,  isolated from  chitin,  is  the  linear  and  partly  acetylated  (1–4)-2-amino-2-deoxy--d-glucan  (Muzzarelli,  1977,  2012;  Muzzarelli  et  al.,  2012). Chitosan is a cationic natural copolymer of glucosamine and biodegradable mucoadhesive polysaccharide derived from crustacean shells. Chitosan particles have been shown to increase transcellular and paracellular transport of macromolecules across the intestinal epithelial monolayer andused successfully todeliver adrugorally toenterocytes, Peyer’s patches and mesenteric lymph nodes (Desai et al., 1996; vanderLubbenet al., 2001;Ouji et al., 2002). Chitosan has been used widely for the production of biodegradable and biocompatible micro- and nanoparticles.
Udayana University is one of two state university in Bali province, which there two mainly building located at Kampus Sudirman in Denpasar and Kampus Bukit in Bukit, Jimbaran.
My faculty, Math and Natural Science is the one that located in Bukit, Jimbaran. My faculty was consisted with six department, there are Chemistry, Physic, Math, Biology, IT, and Pharmacy. Chemistry and Physic are the oldest department in this faculty and chemistry especially as my focus major of study have merged with Agriculture Faculty for some years before became the part of Math and Natural Science Faculty, that's a short history of my Department.
And now I'll tell you a little bit of process study on this department. For new comers student of 2013/2014 year study will face with new curriculum. What the different? With new curriculum, our dean have target for the students to focus for study and pass graduate within 3 years 6 months (this short time to pass than with old curriculum need 4 years, even there are 1-3 student can pass within 3 years 8 months). What on your minds now? May your perception will be variants, like "that's amaze" or "that's madly". Keep it on yours cause that yours.
Within new curriculum student are divide into 5 focus study by their own capability. What they are? The new focus study are Biochemistry, Inorganic chemistry, Organic chemistry, Physical chemistry, and Analytic chemistry. Those focus study are growth from the 2 focus study from last curriculum, its change cause by other reason that focus to the soft and hard skill of the graduated student when they face to job worlds.
Wow there's a lot of words that I've typed, but I didn't have to introduce myself. My name is Mahendra intake 2010 in Department Chemistry, that means know I'm a student that stay in last year of study and have a wish can pass graduate on May or August of 2014.
